So I had made a trip to Target pre-quarantine and had wondered into the feminine hygiene aisle and saw the Viva cup. I’m a sucker for packaging and immediately was drawn to it. I’d never used a cup before so I decided against it and got the organic tampons instead. Fast forward a couple of months and I decided why not try it?! I ALWAYS leak with pads and tampons and my period isn’t even that heavy except for day one and two. So I purchased the small pink cup and after only a couple of uses I am hooked. The first attempt to insert was very easy, but removal was a tad bit scary. I couldn’t get it out. I had fake nails and had to remove them, but they needed to come off anyways lol. Once I was able to relax removal was easy. I will now be a lifelong Viva user. I think I am going to order the Viva valve too and compare the two.
I’ve used the Fleurcup, Sckoon and MyCup, and the Viva soft is by far the softest one – even softer than the Sckoon! Because of its wider body, this cup doesn’t move once put in place, and it has a pretty strong suction too. No leaks (but my period has suddenly become lighter anyway) and so easy to clean. Colour dessert blush is gorgeous too. I only wish that I had used cups when I was a teenager. Oh the times of leaking through pads, undies, jeans onto the car seat and chairs are over!
